Yes. To gain the full benefit of the COS-P program, attendance at all sessions is essential. Each session builds upon the last, gradually deepening your understanding and offering opportunities to reflect, integrate, and apply the concepts in real life. We understand that family commitments can sometimes make this difficult. To support busy parents, we offer a preferred format of four 2-hour sessions over four weeks, allowing time between sessions to reflect and practice the skills. If a session must be missed, we encourage you to reach out in advance—make-up sessions may be available at an additional cost. Prioritising attendance helps ensure the best possible outcome for both you and your child.

A minimum of 3 participants is required for group sessions to proceed. If this number is not met, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or take advantage of a discounted rate for a private session.

Is COS-P for Any Culture?

Yes, the COS-P program is designed to be inclusive and can be used by people of all religions and cultural backgrounds. At almost every COSP training, a discussion around how culture impacts parenting breaks out. Of course, this makes sense: culture influences humans (including caregivers and their children) in many ways! At the same time, there is strong evidence that humans, like many other species, are "biologically programmed" to form attachments. Not only do infants across cultures show attachment behaviour (at predictable ages), but attachment occurs in many other species as well. And it's not just other primates that attach; specific attachment behaviours have been documented from mammals to birds and even to reptiles and insects! So, if attachment is universal in humans, does that mean culture is irrelevant? Hardly! It's probably important first to think about what the word culture represents and then consider the question of what is meant by a "culturally responsive practice."

Can My Partner Attend?

Absolutely. In fact, many couples find that attending the program together enhances their shared understanding of their child’s emotional needs and strengthens their co-parenting relationship. When both partners engage in the learning process, it supports consistency, connection, and teamwork in parenting—laying an even stronger foundation for your child’s sense of security. Whether you're parenting together in the same household or co-parenting from different homes, this shared experience can foster empathy, alignment, and a deeper appreciation for each other's unique role in your child’s life.

Payment Plan

Payment plans are available upon request. Please note that full payment must be completed prior to the first session.

Can I Claim NDIS Funding?

Eligible NDIS participants may be able to use their funding to cover this program. We recommend confirming with your NDIS coordinator to verify whether this training is included in your current plan before confirming your registration.

Will I Receive a Certificate?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the COS-P program, participants will receive a certificate of completion. To be eligible, participants are expected to: •Attend all sessions in full •Actively engage in the program content •Reflect on and apply the techniques and concepts in their daily routines This certificate acknowledges your commitment to strengthening the parent–child relationship and creating a secure, supportive environment for your child’s growth.

Is COS-P for Any Religion?

Yes, the COS-P program is designed to be inclusive and can be used by people of all religions and cultural backgrounds. The program focuses on building secure attachment between parents and children, which is a universal human need and not specific to any one faith. Here's why: Focus on Universal Principles: The core of Circle of Security is about understanding children's needs for both security and exploration, and how parents can respond to those needs in a way that fosters healthy attachment. These are fundamental concepts applicable across diverse cultures and belief systems.

What if I'm Experiencing Financial Hardship?

We understand that many families are experiencing financial hardship presently, which can further add to our capacity to be present, connected and realistic cope with raising children. If this is you, please reach out and see what we can arrange. Most importantly, thank you for being here and prioritising your connections.

Please reach out if you any other questions

Is It Okay Not to Be Perfect?

Yes. COS-P is built on the understanding that “good enough” parenting is enough. Children don’t need perfect parents—they need present, attuned, and reflective ones. In fact, growth often happens in the imperfect moments—when we lose our way, recognise it, and come back with a willingness to repair and reconnect. These are the moments that build trust and resilience. Parenting isn’t about performing—it’s about becoming. COS-P invites us to show up authentically, to learn from our experiences, and to offer ourselves the same kindness we extend to our children. When we allow ourselves to be real and vulnerable, we create a safe space for our children to do the same.

What If I Struggle With My Own Emotions?

The COS-P program recognises that parenting often stirs deep emotional responses—especially when those responses are shaped by our own early experiences. Rather than judging or pathologizing these emotions, COS-P offers a compassionate framework to explore them. You’ll be gently supported to: •Reflect on your emotional patterns with curiosity, not criticism •Shift from automatic reactions to more thoughtful, connected responses •Build emotional awareness and regulation in a way that supports both you and your child •Strengthen your capacity to “be with” your child, even in moments of emotional challenge This journey isn’t about having all the answers—it's about showing up with openness, building self-awareness, and allowing healing and growth to unfold for both you and your child. COS-P honours the idea that parenting is a relationship—not a performance—and that your willingness to engage is the most powerful gift you can offer.

What if I Don’t Have Regular Contact with My Child?

Are the Sessions Recorded?

To respect participant privacy, uphold the integrity of the group process, and comply with Circle of Security copyright, sessions are not recorded.

Confidentiality

Respect for each participant’s personal story is paramount. By joining the group, you commit to maintaining confidentiality—what is shared within the sessions remains within the group. If you feel that a private 1:1 session would better meet your needs or provide greater comfort, we encourage you to consider that option. Please also ensure your environment supports privacy, with a reliable internet connection, functioning camera, clear audio, and microphone access, so you can fully engage and be present during sessions.

Supporting Others- Pay it Forward

I am a big believer in paying it forward. This means giving another person you know or a stranger, the opportunity to access support when they may be experiencing financial hardship. Most of us know what it’s like to be in desperate need of something, however not having access to the funds needed. Your support could literally keep a family together, help keep someone connected, rather then past breaking point. It could even change a child’s life. Don’t underestimate your power, this act of generosity in changing someone’s future and ripping out to the whole community.
